25 Before 25 | 25 Countries Before My 25th Birthday

25 before 25

On the back of my last post, My 25 Best Travel Moments, I wanted to write about one of the personal goals that I’ve had for a while now. My goal is to visit 25 countries before my 25th birthday, aka 25 before 25. I think it’s a really cool goal to have and I know it will encourage me to travel more. Life is all about the experiences!

At the moment, I’ve visited is 21 (update- 24!) countries. This takes me up to one country for every year I’ve been alive and I think that’s pretty cool! My 25th birthday is on the 27th December 2017. Just a few months ago, visiting another 4 countries in 5 months seemed impossible because I’m working with a very limited budget. But it’s totally possible because of the ridiculously cheap flight prices. I can visit so many countries in Europe for under £30. Crazy. My most recent trip was a mini-Euro trip to Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. I was hoping to be in my 25th country on my actual birthday but I have now planned a UK trip instead. So while I don’t know when it will happen, I’m 100% certain that it will.

  1. Great plan, Chloe, make it happen! I second Leuven in Belgium, a beautiful and lively city, I worked a project there for 2 years. And then obviously I volunteer Nuremberg. Lot’s of history, good and bad. And the world famous Christmas market. If you need a tour guide I volunteer as well 😉 ! You could continue south to Switzerland (Zurich), Vienna (Austria) and Prague (Czech Republic). All those cities are connected by trains or bus (or plane). Enjoy planning 🙂 !! Marcus

  2. Very achievable! Good luck in getting to the final 4! Belgium and Germany are both wonderful countries, I’ve visited both numerous times.

  3. You’ve been to so many cool countries, I’m so jealous! Others I would suggest are Tanzania (stunning) and apparently Poland is very cool and cheap to get to (although I have never been). Good luck completing your list!

      1. I actually grew up in Tanzania – I would recommend anywhere in the North, Ngorogoro Crater and near Kilimanjaro. And you have to visit Zanzibar because its so cool!
Yes I will keep reading, love your blog so far!
