For most of my working life I’ve had jobs that required me to work weekends. A few months ago I got a Monday-Friday job and having weekends off was really weird at first. I didn’t know what to do with myself- aren’t Sunday’s supposed to be spent all day in bed hungover? I’m not much of a drinker at all so I found myself becoming bored very quickly. So I started going out for drives, walks, discovering new places… And now Sundays have become really fun for me. I always look forward to the end of the week so I can explore somewhere new. Sunday is my “me” day, always spent completely on my own just enjoying the simple things in life.
Today I went to Lomond Hills which is in Fife, Scotland. I drove through so many cute little villages on my way there (having a cottage in a village is totally a life goal for me) and as it was snowing last night, the hills were beautiful and white. I walked to the top of the East Lomond hill first. When I say walked, I really mean crawled because I kept slipping every two seconds (note: trainers are not the best shoes for climbing snowy hills, who’d have thought?! ).
After sliding back down, I walked a little of West Lomond before heading back to the car as it was getting dark. It was honestly such a perfect, peaceful day and I can’t wait to go back and see the rest!
